Glens Falls Symphony’s 2025 Springtime Gala in Honor of Kathy Grasmeder

The Glens Falls Symphony will host its Springtime Gala at the Lake George Club in Diamond Point on Sunday, June 1, 2025, beginning at 4:30 p.m. The Springtime Gala has raised funds over the past 14 years to support the educational and performance programs of the Glens Falls Symphony.

This year’s Gala will honor Kathy Grasmeder in recognition of her work over several decades to build the Glens Falls region into the varied and healthy community we enjoy today.

Honoree Kathy Grasmeder shares, “I am deeply honored to be recognized as the 2025 Honoree for the Glens Falls Symphony, an extraordinary organization that inspires and uplifts through the power of music. The Symphony’s dedication to bringing the joy of music to audiences of all ages is a testament to its enduring legacy. The celebration of the 25th season under the brilliant leadership of Music Director Charles Peltz is a remarkable milestone.  I am continually inspired by the exceptional work of Executive Director Jennifer Brink, whose abilities and work ethic I hold in the highest regard. I am incredibly impressed by the board of directors representing our community’s very best.  Their passion, vision, and commitment drive the Symphony’s mission forward, ensuring its impact is felt across generations.

Equally close to my heart is the Lake George Club, a historic gem I am privileged to serve as President of its Historic Preservation Foundation.  This building is more than a structure; it’s a work of art, embodying the beauty and craftsmanship of its time.  Architecture, like music, is a form of art that tells a story, and my commitment to preserving this masterpiece is unwavering.  I am dedicated to ensuring it stands as a testament to our shared heritage, inspiring and enriching future generations for many years to come.”

This year’s Gala will feature a performance by Glens Falls Symphony Principal Percussionist Nicholas Tariello in several musical selections featuring the beautiful wooden keyboard percussion instrument, the marimba. During the cocktail social, guests will enjoy light piano music performed by John Benware. The Gala will feature four auction packages available: 1) A Night in Boston, with tickets to the Boston Symphony Orchestra with Glens Falls Symphony Maestro Charles Peltz & Cellist, Kirstin Peltz. 2) A work from Artist Tom Myott 3), “Community Gifts from the Heart,” which will include many ways to give that will directly impact Symphony’s artistic and educational programs.

The 2025 Springtime Gala is sponsored by The Table Rock Group at Morgan Stanley and Arrow Bank.

About Glens Falls Symphony

The Glens Falls Symphony began as a community amateur orchestra in 1977 at the then-named Adirondack Community College. The symphony successfully moves into its fourth decade of music-making as a professional orchestra since its incorporation in 1983. Since Maestro Charles Peltz arrived in 2000, the fully professional Glens Falls Symphony has performed a dynamic repertoire, regularly including musical premieres and world-renowned guest artists while expanding musical offerings to include family concerts, summer pops programs, and more. Cited as “one of the great orchestras of our country” by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Joseph Schwantner, the orchestra comprises professional musicians who come from all over the Northeast to perform.
