Executive Director

Jennifer Brink was named Executive Director of the Glens Falls Symphony in July of 2015. She came to the Glens Falls Symphony with 13 years of orchestra management experience. She also has a long background in music, performing and teaching French Horn and Piano in Boise, Idaho and in Glens Falls at St. Mary’s/St. Alphonsus Regional Catholic School and at the Glens Falls Music Academy. She performed in the Boise Philharmonic from 1995 through 2010, and with the Utah Festival Opera from 2008-2010. She was adjunct faculty at Northwest Nazarene University and Albertson College of Idaho (now College of Idaho). Prior to moving to Boise, she obtained a Master's Degree in Music from Northwestern University, where she studied with members of the Chicago Symphony and the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra. As a musician, she also performed with Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the Phoenix Symphony, the Oregon East Symphony; and with performing artists Luciano Pavarotti, Ray Charles, Dave Brubeck, Gene Harris, Chuck Mangione, Josh Groban, Manheim Steamroller, The Moody Blues and others.

During her time working in administration for the Boise Philharmonic, she managed, at various times, marketing, publicity, grant-writing, education and family outreach, and she studied orchestra management in special programs run by the League of American Orchestras in New York City. Under her leadership, the Glens Falls Symphony has dramatically expanded its audience and offerings, reaching a total of 11,250 audience members in 2023, running 39 different events in 24 venues, including 3,000 children through its ambitious educational programs, with a staff of only two. She enjoys working with Music Director Charles Peltz on the Glens Falls Symphony’s continued growth in artistic excellence and outreach.

Ms. Brink is an active member of the Glens Falls Rotary Club serving as Club President in 2022/23. In 2022, the Club celebrated its 100th year of “Service Above Self.” She views the artistic and community engagement work through the Symphony and through Rotary as a rewarding part of building this incredible North country community.

Symphony Board President 2024-25

Candice Healy was named Board President of the Glens Falls Symphony for the 2024-2025 season on July 1, 2024. Being raised in South Glens Falls, NY, she currently resides in Warrensburg, NY with her husband Kyle and three children, Kai, Brooklyn, and Liam. Candice has been in the banking profession for over twenty-one years, working for symphony season sponsor Glens Falls National Bank, and Saratoga National Bank for the last twelve years. Candice has held various roles; Branch Manager, Relationship Development Officer, Regional Manager, Branch Experience Senior Manager, Retail Banking Senior Manager, and her current role as Senior Vice President and Director of Retail Banking. In her current role, she oversees the branch network for both Saratoga and Glens Falls National Bank.

Candice has always enjoyed volunteering in the community. In addition to the Symphony board, she has served on boards for several community organizations such as the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce, Warrensburg Historical Society, North Country Toastmasters, The Greater Warrensburg Business Alliance, and Warren County Council of Chambers.

Candice came to the Symphony Board of Directors due to her fondness for classical music. Her first experience with The Glens Falls Symphony was attending the Holiday concert with my daughter Brooklyn who at the time was six years old. Brooklyn loved the experience, and watching her face light up listening to the music made Candice and Kyle, want to get more involved! That very Holiday Pops concert encouraged Brooklyn to take up a musical instrument. Brooklyn, now twelve, enjoys the symphony and often volunteers along with Candice at various concerts throughout the season.

“What I enjoy the most about the Symphony is its ability to reach an audience that may otherwise not have the opportunity to experience quality live classical music. Many small communities lack access to this type of quality cultural experience. I enjoy being able to play a small part in providing this experience to our community.  We need to be adaptable and find ways to reach new audiences, including the younger generation. I have enjoyed classical music since I was young. Even though I lived locally, I never experienced a Symphony concert until I was an adult, I am here to ensure that changes for the next generation!” - Candice Healy
