Dr. Ryan Noe is an in-demand trumpeter having performed throughout the United States and Internationally. Currently, he holds the positions of Principal Trumpet for the Glens Falls Symphony and Third Trumpet for the Cape Ann Symphony. As an active chamber musician he is a member of the Fenway Quintet, and the Andromeda Quintet and has performed with such groups as the Western Brass Quintet, Bala Brass, and the Boston University Faculty Brass Quintet. As an orchestral musician he has performed with groups such as the Cape Symphony, Symphony Nova, New Bedford Symphony, Boston Chamber Orchestra, Atlantic Symphony, Alea III: Contemporary Music Ensemble, New England Brass Band, Ohio Light Opera, Bay View Symphony, and the Castleton Festival Orchestra. He often also plays commercially for such theater companies as the Fiddlehead Theater Company, Uncommon Theater Company, and the Commonwealth Lyric Theater. Additionally, he has been a semi-finalist for the graduate division and trumpet ensemble division of the National Trumpet Competition.
Dr. Noe along with being an active performer is also an in-demand brass pedagogue. He holds faculty positions for Northeastern University and Northern Essex Community College and has previously taught at Boston University as well as Boston University Tanglewood Institute. Dr. Noe obtained his Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from Boston University and his Bachelor of Music from Western Michigan University. His primary teachers include Terry Everson, Thomas Siders, Peter Chapman, and Scott Thornburg. Originally from Plymouth, MI, he currently lives in Boston, MA with his wife Kaitlin.
