Brooke Vincent has been playing with the Glens Falls Symphony as a tenured 1st violin since 2006. She has also played with orchestras such as Schenectady, Utica, Catskill, Oneonta, and Skidmore College Orchestra as well as some artists such as Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Josh Groban, Time for 3, Mark O’Connor, Amy Grant, Clay Aiken, George Benson, and Ashley Bathgate.
Brooke is local alumni of the Saratoga Springs High School, class of 2000. In her formative years, she played with Empire State Youth Orchestra and studied with Jill Levy. Brooke holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a concentration in violin from the University of Delaware where she studied with violinist Xiang Gao. She then earned her Masters degree in Music Education from New York University in ten months were she studied conducting with the late Dinu Ghezzo.
Brooke has been teaching orchestra at her Alma Mater, Saratoga Springs, since 2006. Under her tutelage, her high school orchestra students have won competitions and ranked at the highest levels. In years past, her school orchestra has enjoyed doing ‘shared-stand’ concerts with Maestro Peltz and members of the GFSO. They have also had other wonderful opportunities like performing “Electrify Your Strings” concerts with Trans-Siberian Orchestra lead violinist, Mark Wood. Ever since 2014, she has also started teaching elementary orchestra and very much enjoys the overabundance of excitement of the youngsters and growth in numbers for her program there.
Most recently, Brooke has been expanding her website www.saratogaviolin.com and pursuing performing in the wedding industry. Brooke resides in Saratoga Springs with her husband Lane, and her two children Jameson and Lillianna. In her spare time, Brooke enjoys mothering, hiking, skiing, kayaking, camping, cooking, reading, vacationing, and relaxing.
